University College Plymouth St Mark & St John

Living Off Campus

Some students may prefer to live off campus and arrange their own accommodation. A helpful pack entitled “Living Out”  is available on request from the Accommodation Office.

Plymouth City Council is trying to make it easier for students to apply for a residents parking permit by encouraging them to apply online before they arrive in the city.

Not everyone will be eligible for permits, so the council is asking students to check if the street they plan to live in has a permit scheme and which properties do not qualify for a permit before applying.   Please note that none of Plymouth’s Student Halls of Residence are eligible for a residents parking permit.

More than 1,000 students are expected to apply for permits in the first few days of term, so the council has pages with information about the documents they need produce to make it less hassle to apply. The link also has details about how parking permits operate in Plymouth. We hope you enjoy your time in Plymouth!
