Village Houses

There are 38 village houses on campus:

Students in self catering Village Houses will be allocated a single study bedroom.  Each bedroom consists of:

  • a single bed
  • mattress
  • mattress cover
  • bedside cabinet
  • wardrobe
  • desk
  • desk chair
  • waste bin
  • wash hand basin

Some bedrooms also have a chest of drawers and an easy chair.  Bedrooms are carpeted and have a blind .  All bedrooms have central heating.

Each student will have access to bathroom facilities, kitchen facilities and a communal room shared between 4 or 5 students. Due to the nature of the shared facilities houses are single sex.

Houses are two storey and there are no lifts.

Houses 1, 2, 3, 7, 9 & 11 are under the Business Expansion Scheme.

COSTS:

Standard single room £90per week

Small single room £85 per week

inclusive of heating, lighting, WiFi internet access with computer support and personal contents insurance cover.

Students living in the Student Village have the option of participating in the Dining-In-Scheme.

Kitchens in the Student Village are supplied with an ironing board, kettle, fridge/freezer, microwave, cooker and toaster.

Your Licence to Occupy is for 41 weeks irrespective of your course commitments.

In order to secure your room you will need to:

  1. sign and return your Licence Agreement
  2. sign and return your residence fees payment agreement
  3. return a £250 deposit prior to your arrival

Licence Agreements are fixed for the academic year including the Christmas and Easter vacations.  You are unable to terminate your Licence Agreement unless you are withdrawing or interrupting your course.  No refund of residence fees will be made in respect of placement.
