University College Plymouth St Mark & St John

UCP Marjon Social Action Group

The Social Action Group was started in response to the tsunami disaster appeal in 2005. It is a group of students from the college and staff who get together to make a difference to the world whether it is the local community or on a more global scale. The group takes part in practical activities to benefit others or to raise awareness of issues as well as organizing many fundraising events for numerous charities. New ideas are always welcomed!

Since it was established the Social Action Group has raised £13,702.36 for local, national and international charities. Thank you to everyone who has been involved in fundraising, through organizing and supporting events. More information about the events that have helped raise this money can be found under recent events.
