Centre for Leadership, Management and Sport Development
Following the realignment of the Centre for Sport Development and Performance (CSDP) into the Faculty of Sport, Media and Creative Arts in September 2010 and recent introduction of a variety of Leadership and Management programmes, a change of Centre focus has been required.
This new 'Centre for Leadership, Management and Sport Development' (CLM&SD) is to be officially launched on September 13th, 2011 and will provide a central point for the administration, marketing, design and delivery of it's Leadership and Management programmes and Sport Development activities, whilst also continuing in further developments in collaborative partnerships and professional accreditation of courses.
A primary aim of this Centre is to enhance the Leadership, Management and Sport Development capabilities which drive organisational performance and profitability of the region's businesses and leisure providers in order to stimulate economic growth and competiveness within various industries and sectors.
UCP Marjon is recognised as being a high quality and vibrant higher education institution with a strong community focus, providing learning and opportunity for local, regional, national and international market, and prides itself on it's mission of 'learning for life'. The work of this Centre is pivotal in continuing highly regarded initiatives such as RELAYS and identifying new opportunities of accrediting employer learning programmes.
